Your Wedding Day is so much more then celebrating with those closest to you. It’s about your love, and promising that love to last forever with each other. I’m not only here to document your wedding, but also to encourage you to create a day around your favourite things to do and to not get lost on trying to please all your special guests but to spend as much time together as possible. The day flies by with a blink of your eyes, it’s the day you decide to say your vows and when you look back on your day, you want to remember being with your new marital partner.

Guess what? I never thought I’d be photographing weddings & elopements someday.
But that was before I fell in love, I saw people capturing that love in beautiful imagery and thought how important it is to have that love captured authentically.
Despite what society and the culture we grew up in taught us how a wedding day is supposed to look like, there is no rulebook for getting married. There is no right or wrong way - only your way.
I have captured enough weddings to know that you can make your day as unique as you want it to be, you want fireworks in the evening to finish off with a bang? Go for it! You want to do private vows at a beautiful destination to escape the eyes of your peers? Do it! This is your day and I am there for it!

Most couples have an idea or have already booked their venue, but some aren’t entirely sure and that’s okay! This is where my experience and expertise comes in hand. I will send you a questionnaire that helps me get to know you both a little better and your vision for your Wedding. You will then receive a tailored list of 3-4 prime location suggestions that I think would fit your vision best.

I don’t expect couples to know when the best light of day occurs or how much time I need to properly photograph you getting ready as well as planning for transition times and location changes. That why I help you craft a fully custom timeline with a second questionnaire coming your way 3 months before your wedding date collecting all information of everything you’ve booked and want to do - whether your day starts with a bubble bath session or ends with a sunset picnic - we’ll make sure we’ll make it as stress free and fun as possible and craft a day that’s truly yours.
AT THIS POINT YOU’VE DECIDED TO MARRY AND ARE MOST LIKELY IN THE BEGINNING STAGES OF PLANNING. GREAT! I HAVE TONS OF SOLID ADVICE THAT WILL HELP YOUR VISION COME ALIVE AND GET YOU INTO DREAMING MODE.
HOW MUCH TIME DO WE NEED?
I get this questions ALL THE TIME.
And the answer is: probably more then you think. In order to not be rushed and don’t have your wedding turn in to a crunch time photoshoot, most couples book a full day wedding coverage. Sounds like a lot? Trust me - it isn’t. Time runs twice as fast on a wedding day (ask ANYONE of your married friends) and with transition times and location changes to get or be somewhere, breaks, meals (because granola bars won’t cut it), activities and epic fun in between - this day will pass faster than you’ve ever thought.
More coverage also means more variety in your gallery. - from different locations/scenes to different times of the day with different lighting scenarios (indoor/outdoor).
And if you’re thinking now: who the heck wants to pose and smile for the camera all day long? YIKES! I totally get you - but I’m not on the shutter button all the time straight. Think documentary styles - whatever you plan, I’ll be along the ride to catch the candid’s, the raw, the fun, the intimate, the nerdy and the beautiful. My photo coverage should never be overpowering or overwhelming your day - think less posey and more real.
Not only am I able to capture your whole story that way, but you will have a ton of images to share and relive your day with your friends and family who may or may not have been there.

WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS
This is where I spend the most time on your photos: in post! No wedding/couple session is the same: Light, season, time of day and location change the quality of light - for consistent look throughout my body of work I create a custom color pallet that I tweak to every wedding & elopement gallery and every single image you receive that reflect the conditions of the wedding day. While professional gear helps photographers to capture high quality footage and master tricky lighting situations, it can’t live up to the dynamic range that human eyes are able to see. This is also where distracting elements are removed from the background, etc. It’s the editing part where we develop and recreate the light we felt and saw on location.

Everything you need to know about your date, turnaround times, inclement weather, etc.
How do we book you?
I require a non-refundable retainer (25% AUS of Experience Chosen) and a signed booking contract by both of you to secure your date and block the time off in my calendar. The remaining 75% will be required 2 weeks prior to your date. Payments are currently only accepted via bank transfer.
What’s your turnaround time and do you edit our photos?
My turnaround time is 8 weeks or less. Depending on my schedule and the season you get married (winter, autumn) your gallery may be ready earlier. My editing will always reflect the conditions of your wedding day, the light/time of the day, the weather and colours of the season you get married in. I like to keep it true to color with an aesthetic approach.
How many photos do you deliver?
The number of final images depends on the hours booked, the activities you have planned throughout your day and the number of guests attending. Every wedding and every couple are different! I usually deliver a minimum of 50 images per hour of active shooting time for weddings (Unless over an hour is spent driving to change locations, etc.) but I will never withhold any images that are worth remembering. You’ll get all memories with keeping!
What if we cancel our booking?
For every wedding/elopement I have to block out a specific timeframe off my calendar (minimum 3 full days : arrival/travel day if needed, wedding day, departure/travel day) and turn down other clients on those dates even if your wedding/elopement is cancelled. Since my dates are a limited resource, the retainer is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
What if we cancel our booking?

What package would you recommend?
Most couples book a full day (9hours) as it gives you the most flexibility and time to enjoy your day to the fullest without rushing. However, how much time you really need depends on a lot of things: your vision for your wedding day in general, locations of getting ready of both parties, ceremony, reception location or destination locations. With multiple location changes couples tend to lean towards a full day coverage, some needing extra hours added on for the time used to travel.

Can you photoshop me to make me look like X?
I’m a strong believer in authenticity and therefore don’t remove curves, facial features, etc. or anything that alters a persons appearance. I want you to be you and own it on your wedding day - your partner loves you for who you are. Having said that, I’ll help you look your best with natural posing and finding good light (which is best in the morning/evening, as well as with indoor window light). Temporary blemishes like pimples (which always seem to appear last minute) will be digitally removed and smoothed out. I highly recommend hiring a professional make-up and hair artist who can help you look and feel naturally great on your wedding day - all day long. I highly recommend to have a trial, this is important for so many reasons.

Driving, walking, etc. - does this count as booked time?
Yes. The booked time starts once we meet. Transition times like driving to a different location, walking / hiking to destinations (which I also document as part of your story) with with heavy gear or driving for location changes, etc. are considered work time and thus count as booked time of your package.
Are you a wedding/elopement planner?
No, I’m not a wedding planner and I don’t book or coordinate vendors for you. I help couples with timeline suggestions and will send an in depth planning guide which includes checklists, planning tips that will help you create your perfect day. I help couples because I don’t expect them to know when the best light to photograph outdoors occurs - or to know how long getting ready photos typically take for me to sufficiently cover everything without running late or getting stressed.
What happens if it rains?
The weather for outdoor weddings / elopements is always unpredictable, can change multiple times throughout the day and is part of your adventure - embrace it! A little rain or snow doesn’t stop your wedding and I’ll come prepared for all conditions.
Some of my favorite wedding were shot in non-ideal, moody weather as it can create dramatic skies, beautiful even light and atmosphere. I highly recommend getting an air bnb or a location that has great indoor spaces available until the weather gets better.
